So, an interesting thing happened to me this week. My roommate gave me a ride to school and as we approached the intersection right next to campus, the light turned green. This was problematic for me, seeing as I had to get out of the car at that precise moment when the car could only pause for .2 seconds. I hurriedly opened the car door and tumbled out with all my books.
As I plummeted toward the concrete, a poignant thought crossed my mind--that new Beverley Hills Chihuahua movie came out this week! I'd really like to see it. The movie is about how chihuahuas are exploited today by Paris Hilton. I've been thinking about that lately; chihuahuas really ARE exploited to an unfair degree. Like the other day, for example, I was at Smith's and saw a man--that's right, a MAN-- probably in his mid-twenties carrying a chihuahua while perusing in the produce aisle. I was appalled! A dog can walk for himself! The horror.
I hit the pavement and picked myself up. It's great to take a few minutes here and there to ponder on such important social issues affecting our world today.
See you in my thoughts,
Pete
